lost in thought
with Krista Vazquez

Director of FUSE

I'm inspired by different things all the time. Lately it's my Instagram feed, The Highway on XM and books so good I can't put them down, and Vanity Fair.

When I'm having a creative block, I listen to "Hallelujah" by Leonard Cohen. If that doesn't work, I go to sleep and try again in the morning, but earlier this time.

The best advice I ever received was from my 6th grade science teacher who quoted Shakespeare, "This above all, to thine own self be true. And it must follow as the night the day, then thou canst not be false to any man." That's brought incredible clarity to difficult decisions.

The very next thing on my to-do list is to write my to-do list for tomorrow! I've found that writing a to-do list is the easiest thing to check off my to-do list. That must say something about me psychologically, though I'm not sure what.

At the moment, I'm obsessed with binge watching TV. Right now it's Sons of Anarchy. Next up, House of Cards.

As of now, I'm totally over my kindle and reading books on my iPad. Real books 4-eva.
I'm happiest when I'm with family – all of them. My kids, my husband, my sisters, my parents, my grandmothers, my cousins and aunts and uncles, my in-laws (really!) and Tino our dog. You can't find more amazing people (or dog) on the entire planet.

I wish I could have Saturday happen twice a week.

The last stamp on my passport was Aruba!

The next stamp on my passport is Aruba! (I should branch out)
